Returns Policy
Goods may only be returned to Janome Sewing Centre for exchange or refund with prior consent. Requests for returns must be via Email or Fax within 10 working days of receiving goods and the original invoice number must be noted on all claims. A Return Authorisation Number will then be issued to the customer. If Janome Sewing Centre agrees to accept goods for return, this Authorisation Number must be clearly stated on all returned goods and a 20% restocking fee may apply. All returned goods must be in their original shipping cartons and must not have been used. Freight charges for returned goods will be at the buyer’s cost.
Incorrectly Supplied or Breakages
All goods should be checked upon receipt for incorrect supply or breakages. In the event that goods have been incorrectly supplied or there is a claim for breakages that may have occurred during transit, any claims must be directed to Janome Sewing Centre via Email or Fax within 3 working days of receipt and a Return Authorisation Number will be issued. There will be no freight charge to the buyer and replacement goods will be issued. Warranty Claims
All goods come with the standard manufacturer’s warranty unless otherwise stated. Any item claimed to be faulty through either faulty material or manufacture will be replaced and returned to the Buyer at no charge.
Shipping Within Australia: All sewing machines, overlockers and embellishers will be shipped by courier or Australia Post at a cost of $50 per machine.(Unless stated as Promotional) All other all parcels will be shipped by Australia Post using Express Post. Freight Costs are available at checkout. A base handling fee is charged for all orders.
International: All International deliveries are shipped via Airmail.
Important information for international customers
Some countries will charge customs fees or import duties on products delivered from Australia. These charges are the customer’s responsibilities. Under Australian law we must declare the status and value of each parcel accurately for customs declaration.
Please note the GST component will be removed during the checkout process for all international orders.
All transactions are settled in Australian Dollars ($AUD). When using your credit card, your currency will automatically be converted from Australian dollars to your currency. Conversion rates vary on a daily basis. Your bank may also charge a currency conversion fee. Your bank or credit card provider can provide you with this information. As the final charge to your card is made in Australian dollars and the conversion rate is determined by your bank or credit provider, we do not take responsibility if the final amount charged to your card differs from the estimated conversions we provide.
Terms of Trade
Janome Sewing Centre’s terms of trade created to guarantee that we can continue to offering you excellent products, at excellent prices:
1. New Accounts: All new accounts must register prior to placing an order.
2. Terms: Payment must be made in full prior to goods being dispatched from our warehouse.
3. Returns: Returns will only be accepted with prior authorisation from Janome Sewing Centre and if accepted may be subject to a 20% restocking fee. (See Returns Policy for more information)
4. Prices: Prices are subject to change without notice. Goods will be charged at the prices in effect at the time of shipment.
5. Goods and Services Tax (GST): All items are subject to 10% GST unless otherwise stated. The GST will be automatically calculated and added to your purchase total upon checkout.
6. Shipping: Freight charges will apply depending on delivery location and weight or cubic size of shipment.
Goods may be picked up from our Bankstown, Miranda, Parramatta or Wollongong stores at no freight charge.
